New York with Kids: Museums, Munchies, and Much More
I love going to New York City; aside from the glamour, there are always new shows, new stores, restaurants and trendy areas to discover. The only thing better than a quick trip to NYC is one with my kids; seeing and experiencing everything about New York with them makes it that much more exciting. The fact that the activities vary with the seasons (which for kids from Miami, the change in seasons alone is thrilling) makes it fun to venture here more than once a year.
Whether it’s going to see the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall in winter, apple picking in Demarest Farms just outside the city in fall, or enjoying Victoria Gardens Amusement Park in summer, one thing is always clear: you’ll never run out of things to do, especially with kids, in New York City.
Some things are classic: taking a horse and carriage ride through Central Park and catching a Broadway show (or several). Others are unexpected- who would think the Math Museum could be so much fun! The streets seem to buzz, the lights never dim, and the buildings that form its skyline are like nothing else in the world.
Look beyond the lights, bustle, and the traffic, and allow yourself to get sucked into the coolest new food craze, ride a different carousel everyday, or ice skate in a rink you “discovered.” Set aside some time to walk—the longer you walk the sooner you’ll notice how each neighborhood has its own character, culture, food scene and style.
Let me help you turn your next New York trip into an adventure like you’ve never experienced before!
